Paddington 2 - A Family Review

Paddington 2 Review

We were really lucky to be invited to a special screening of Paddington 2 before it's released in cinemas on the 10th November. We absolutely loved Paddington and have watched it more times than I'd care to admit and I know the little lads especially would be harsh critics of the sequel so I thought this time we'd write this review as a family.

Paddington 2 - A Family Review (warning, contains spoilers)

Q1. So, what's it all about?

Violet: Paddington 2 is about Paddington wanting to buy an extra special gift for his aunts birthday, he finds an expensive old book in an antiques shop but doesn't know it is actually a treasure map. A thief steals it and Paddington gets the blame and is sent to prison. And The Browns have to prove his innocence. It's not as traumatic as it sounds, there are lots of funny bits along the way!

Question 2. What was your favourite bit?

Mum: I particularly liked when Paddington went to prison and because he can see the good in everyone turns the most unlikely inmates into amazing chefs! I do like a makeover and loved what they did to the prison dining room.

Question 3. Did you enjoy Paddington 2, what was the funniest bit?

Tiger: *laughing* When Paddington accidentally shaved a line through the centre of the man's hair! Then later, he found out that the same man was going to be his judge! There were so many funny bits!

Question 4. Which was better Paddington 1 or 2?

Dad: Paddington 2 in my opinion was better than the first, it had more jokes and I found myself laughing out loud a fair bit. I really liked that there were lots of famous comedians in it.

Question 5. Who is your favourite character?

Violet: Paddington obvs, but if I had to choose another, the baddie Phoenix! He was really funny and really weird, I loved all the different characters he played throughout.

Question 6. Describe Paddington 2 in three words?

Beaux: FUNNY, EXCITING, GREAT! I give it one hundred million billion stars! (official ratings)

Question 7. Anything you disliked?
Tiger: Nooooo, I loved it all! Can we watch it again?

There you have it, Paddington 2 is definitely a film for the whole family, loved as much by a 5 year old to a 40'something' year old! The storyline is fast moving with plenty of jokes to keep even the youngest audiences attention.

Paddington 2 is out in cinemas on the 10th November, follow Paddington 2 for the latest news over on twitter
